Microcement pricing is straightforward once you understand what you're paying for: a trained applicator's hands for 5–7 continuous days, materials at roughly £35–£55 per m² in product alone, and the right system top-to-bottom.

2026 UK ranges

  • Floors: £140–£200 per m²
  • Walls: £150–£220 per m²
  • Wet rooms / showers: £200–£280 per m²
  • Kitchen worktops: £350–£550 per linear metre (600 mm depth)
  • Stairs: £180–£280 per linear tread + riser

What moves the number up

Bad substrate. Lots of corners. Difficult access. Multiple colours. Tight programme requiring out-of-hours work. Listed buildings with restricted dust/noise hours.

What you should never pay for

Single-component sealers. Skipped primer. Self-trained installers without manufacturer certification. Quotes that don't itemise the system. Send us your floor plan for a written fixed quote — usually within 48 hours of a site visit.

Frequently asked questions

Why so much more than tiles?+
Microcement is a hand-applied craft — typically 8–12 coats by a single trained applicator over 5–7 days. The comparison isn't with tile material; it's with the total installed cost of large-format porcelain done well.
Is there a minimum project size?+
We have a minimum mobilisation of around £1,800 for very small projects (single splashback, etc). Most projects exceed this comfortably.
Are there cheaper microcement systems?+
Yes, and we don't use them. Single-component sealers and budget polymers are what fail in two years.
Does the colour change the price?+
Marginally. Custom blends or multi-tone wash finishes add a half-day of sampling and mixing.
