Also by Jonathan — a different craft

Cast concrete.
Not microcement.

Hand‑cast, mechanically ground and sealed — natural concrete worktops, fireplace hearths, outdoor kitchens and vanity units. These are formed, solid pieces (typically 20–40mm thick), not a 2–3mm microcement coating. Same craftsman, separate process.

Two millimetres of mineral skin — trowelled, burnished, sealed.

Can it go over my existing floor or tiles?

In almost every case — yes.

Microcement bonds directly to most stable surfaces. There's usually no need to lift what's already there — no skips, no demolition, no months of disruption.

  • Existing ceramic & porcelain tiles
  • Marble and natural stone
  • Existing concrete & screed
  • Plywood (18–22mm WBP)
  • Plasterboard
  • MDF
  • Sound painted plaster
  • Underfloor heating systems

Every substrate is assessed in person before quotation. A handful of exceptions apply — moving or unsound surfaces are made good first.

Investment

A bespoke finish, priced per project.

Microcement is hand-mixed and hand-applied — never a day rate. Every project receives a fixed, written quotation after a free site visit.
