Process
Six stages.
Five to seven days on site.
Every Cornwall Microcement project follows the same documented sequence — refined over years of installation and trained directly on the CimentArt system. Nothing is improvised.
01
Site survey & consultation
Free home visit anywhere in Cornwall. We measure, assess substrate condition, take moisture readings and discuss colour, finish and timeline. A fixed written quotation follows within 5 working days.

02
Sample panel & sign‑off
Before any installation begins, we apply a sample panel in the actual room — under your light, against your fittings. Only once you've signed off the colour and finish do we order materials.
03
Substrate preparation
Most installations fail in the substrate. We sand, prime, fill, level and (for wet areas) fully tank — before any microcement touches the wall or floor. Documented at every stage.
04
Mesh & base coats
Two structural base coats with fibreglass mesh bedded into the first. This is what gives microcement its resistance to substrate movement and prevents hairline cracking.
05
Pigmented finish coats
Two hand‑trowelled finish coats in your chosen CimentArt colour, applied in opposing directions for depth. Each coat is hand‑sanded back before the next.

06
Sealing & cure
Two coats of two‑component polyurethane sealer in matte, satin or low‑gloss. Light foot traffic at day 7, full cure at day 28. We hand over with a written care guide and a one‑year follow‑up visit.
After we leave
A five‑year relationship, not a transaction.
Every finished installation comes with a written care guide, a one‑year check‑in visit, and an open invitation to call us about anything — repairs, re‑sealing, advice on cleaning products. We're a small studio. We answer the phone.
