This website is operated by Cornwall Microcement, a trading name of J2JPH Construction, sole‑trader business of Jonathan Heywood, based in 72 Egloshayle, Wadebridge, Cornwall, PL27 6AF. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Cornwall Microcement is the data controllerfor any personal data you give us through this website, by email, by phone or in person.

What data we collect
- Enquiry & contact data — name, email, phone, postcode, project details you choose to share via our enquiry or contact form, or by email/phone.
- Project data — addresses, photos and notes related to projects we visit, quote, or install for you.
- Correspondence — emails, text messages and call notes between us.
- Invoicing data — billing name, address and payment records, where you become a client.
- Technical data — basic, anonymous information your browser sends when visiting this site (see our cookie policy).
We do not collect special‑category data, do not buy or sell personal data, and do not run advertising or remarketing trackers on this site.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To respond to your enquiry and quote your project — lawful basis: pre‑contractual steps at your request (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- To carry out a project we've been engaged for — lawful basis: contract performance.
- To meet our legal obligations (e.g. accounting, tax records, insurance, health & safety documentation) — lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To run and improve this website — lawful basis: legitimate interests (operating a website).
Who we share it with
We keep your data to ourselves wherever possible. The only third parties involved in handling it are:
- Email — Google (Gmail), to receive and reply to your messages.
- Form delivery — FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which forwards submissions from our website to our inbox.
- Hosting — Lovable / Cloudflare, which host this website's pages and infrastructure.
- Accountant & HMRC — for tax and statutory record‑keeping where a project has been invoiced.
We do not share or sell your data for marketing.
How long we keep it
- Unsuccessful enquiries (no project): up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Project records (quotes, invoices, photos, correspondence): 6 years after project completion, in line with HMRC and insurance requirements.
- Marketing list: we don't run one.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to our legal record‑keeping obligations).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis.

Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be flagged on this page for at least 30 days.
