Caring for your microcement.
Microcement is hard-wearing and low-maintenance in normal use. The short guide below is everything most clients ever need.
Day to day
Warm water and a soft cloth, or a pH-neutral soap. Wipe spills as they happen. That is the routine for almost every surface — floors, walls, worktops and wet rooms alike.
Avoid
Bleach, ammonia, acidic descalers, citrus degreasers and abrasive scourers. These attack the sealer rather than the microcement itself, but the result is the same — a dulled finish over time.
The sealer
The 2K polyurethane sealer is what makes microcement waterproof and stain-resistant. The mineral coat gives it its look; the sealer gives it its daily-life durability.
Re-sealing
High-traffic and wet areas benefit from a light re-seal every 3–5 years — shower floors, busy kitchens, hallways. Walls and quieter rooms can go much longer. We offer this as part of aftercare.

Is it really low-maintenance?+
Yes. There is no grout to clean, no joints to fail, and no special treatment for daily wear. Looked after as above, microcement is one of the most forgiving premium finishes in normal use.
