Microcement is one of the easiest finishes to live with — provided you don't do too much.

The routine

Daily: warm water and a microfibre cloth. That's it.

Weekly: pH-neutral cleaner, diluted. We recommend Lithofin MN Easy Care or Method's almond-scented all-purpose cleaner.

Annually: inspect the high-traffic walkways and shower zones; flag anything dull to your installer.

The do-nots

  • No bleach
  • No ammonia (window cleaner included)
  • No vinegar or lemon-based "natural" cleaners
  • No abrasive scourers, magic erasers, or scotch pads
  • No wax or polish — sealer doesn't need topping up

If something goes wrong

It usually doesn't. If it does — a stubborn mark, a localised dull patch — we offer a maintenance visit at cost for any installation we've done. Get in touch.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use bleach?+
No. Bleach strips the sealer's UV inhibitors and gives the surface a chalky look.
Is steam cleaning ok?+
Light steam mop, yes. Industrial steam cleaners, no — they soften the sealer.
What if something acidic spills?+
Wipe immediately with warm water. If a mark remains, contact us — a localised re-seal is straightforward.
Do I need to wax it?+
No. The 2K PU sealer is the protection. Wax sits on top and traps dirt.
